For the third year in a row the British Asian Rugby Association (BARA), have been invited to participate in Yorkshire''s rugby''s oldest seven-a-side tournament, the Good Friday Guinness Pock 7s. The event gets underway next week with a full entry of 24 teams, which includes nine former winners in a competitive mix of local clubs and out of county touring and invitation teams.

The success of outstanding ambassadors for British rugby, the British Asian Rugby Association (BARA), was celebrated at the Sony TV Asian Sports Personality of the Year Awards. Three members of BARA were up for nomination including founder Ikram Butt, a Leeds Met graduate and one of the first Asian rugby players to represent England.
