Books On Fire!

Scartching Shed Publishers have been delighted with the response towards their newly relased book Tries & Prejuduce. Book signings at various book stores including Waterstones and Borders have really boosted sales and already within a month over 600 copies have been sold.

Ikram has been very busy indeed over the past month which has seen him attend a number of book signings of which lately he visited Waterstones book stores in Hull on Saturday 11th July. In addition, Ikram answered questions by loyal Featherstone fans at Post Office Road last Monday. Ikram was also accompanied by GB Legend Paul Newlove.

Bradford Council hosted a reception for Ikram which was attended by Chief Excecutive, Tony Reeves, Sports Minister, Gerry Sutcliffe MP & Marsha Singh MP.

Press coverage has seen features in the Evening Post, Yorkshire Post, Open Rugby Magazine, Asian Express, Asian Leader, Awaaz.. Along with radio coverage on Yorkshire Radio, Radio Manchester, Radio Awaaz & BBC Asian Radio.

Andrew Wilson has given the book and excellent review on line for the Guardian newspaper.

Ross Caplan of Scratching Shed Publishers commented, We are extremely delighted for Ikram, he has been in demand for the last month and has really taken it all in his stride.  Request for copies of his book have been excellent and we are currently taken calls from interested parties’.
