BARA Ready To Tackle The Scunthorpe 9’s Event

Scunthorpe Barbarians RLFC are looking to start their season in the best possible way, with a 9’s Tournament at Heslam Park. The Tournament which is planned for the 4th May will see 7 local sides including a guest appearance from BARA.
The day event begins at 11am with the final expected at 6pm.
As well as the team representing the Scunthorpe Barbarians, other teams include, South Humberside Association, Rotherham, Lincoln City Knights, Sheffield Forgers Rabbitohs, Barton Bulldogs, East Riding Rangers and BARA.

The first game will commence at 1100am prompt.
There will then be two groups both of four teams
With the top four playing off in semis and a final
The bottom four will then playoff in semi and a plate final.

The games will be played over 7 mins each way with the finals being 9 mins each way refs will be allocated to games as soon as I have confirmation of who they are.
The rules will be that of a normal 13-a-side game.
The squads will be limited to 15 for the day and it would be helpful if you could send me your squad via e-mail for a programme to be drawn up.
Insurance for the day will be covered by the RFL.
A physio will be on hand for the day but due to the amount of players it would be advisable for you to bring some sort of medical provision for your team.
There are adequate changing facilities and changing rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis (there are 2 large rooms the rest smaller.)
If any team is struggling for players or cannot make the trip please let me know ASAP so a replacement/additional numbers for your side can be found.
Any form of abuse towards officials/players or damage to Heslam Park will not be tolerated and any complaints will be passed through to the appropriate person at the RFL.
Serious breaches will lead to automatic disqualification from the competition and the matter being reported to the RFL.
